Installation Guidelines

  1. Dry-Fit First: Lay out the pattern without adhesive to visualize the final look and ensure proper cuts and piece placement, especially due to variations in the tiles.
  2. Thinset Mortar:
    • Use white thinset mortar to maintain the color of the tile.
    • A rapid curing thinset is recommended for faster installation.
  3. Adhesive Application:
    • Only apply adhesive that can be covered within 10-15 minutes.
    • Ensure a grout joint of at least 1/16", avoiding a butt set.
    • Use a 3/16" or 1/4" square notch trowel.
    • Smooth the ridges of the mortar using the flat side of the trowel before placing the tiles.

Grouting Instructions

  • Use non-sanded grout to prevent scratching of the stone.
  • Test a small area first to confirm the grout will not damage the tile.
  • Fill the grout joints completely, leaving no pits or voids.
  • Clean excess grout as you work, and avoid letting it harden.
  • Avoid using acids to clean grout haze.
  • Use a damp sponge for the final cleaning and smoothing of grout joints.
  • Apply grout release prior to grouting to help with cleaning and protect against staining.

Sealing

  • After installation and grouting, seal the stone with a high-quality breathable stone sealer to prevent water absorption, efflorescence, and staining.
  • A color enhancer can be used to highlight the stone's natural color after grouting.
  • Reseal the stone when necessary, especially if it begins to darken.

Cutting

  • For clean cuts, use a wet-saw with a continuous rim diamond blade designed for cutting marble.
  • Avoid using “turbo” or notched blades, as these can cause chips and rough edges.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
